Website Design Process
We have put together a brief list of the steps involved in creating your website. This will give you a better idea of what we need from you, and what you can expect from us.
Step 1. Discuss your goals
After you get in contact with us via phone or email we will assess your needs, goals and expectations for your website. We will discuss your websites purpose, the look and feel of your website, any e-commerce choices, domain names, maintenance, editing options, search engine optimisation (SEO) and anything else that applies to getting your website from dream to reality. We know everyone has different levels of experience with the internet so if you're not sure what you need we can help you decide and explain everything in simple terms.Step 2. Receive a quote
Following our initial discussion by e-mail or telephone, we will prepare a free proposal document detailing your requirements together with the fees and time scales for our services. This will also include a layout brief and a list of functions for your website.
Step 3. Approval of the quote
Once you are happy with the website proposal the next step is to collect your business details and invoice you for a $100 deposit, this is the green light to proceed with the project.
Step 4. Designing your website graphic layout
Here is where the fun starts! We create your unique website design based on the information you provided.Your unique design(s) are based on any photos, colours, other websites or logos we decide on in Step Number 1. You will be emailed the design concept by email and can provide changes and adjustments at this stage.
Step 5. Construction
Once you are happy (and hopefully excited) about your new website design we move onto the Construction step.This involves turning your "website design" into a functional "website". We create all the buttons, links, animations, custom programming or e-commerce systems that are required.
Step 6. Content
Your website framework is now complete. It's time to insert the content. Your content is any text or images you send us or would like us to create. This content will be inserted in an Internet friendly manner, we will also make sure all your photos are optimised for the best possible performance on your website. If you have opted for a Content Management System, you will now be able to insert your own text and images yourself.
(please note: Your quote does not include any copy writing services, any textual content must be provided to us in the way you would like it written on the website, we will do adjustments for search engine purposes however we cannot create content for you. Please let us know if you need someone to help you create content, as we can refer you onto a copy writing service)
